Salvatore "Sam" Tripoli's Obituary
Salvatore “Sam” Tripoli, 100, of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Raissa (DaRos) Tripoli, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Blair Manor. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Philipo and Anna (Marciante) Tripoli. Sam served in the U.S. Army 410th Infantry Regiment as a Staff Sergeant during World War II and retired as the owner/operator of Sam’s Barber Shop after 55 years of business. Some of his hobbies included golfing, hunting, and gardening. He was a member of St. Edward Parish, Rev. Felix J. O’Neil Council #1395 Knights of Columbus, honorary life member of the Italian Benefit Society, and honorary life member of the Stafford Fish and Game Club. Sam is survived by his three children Anne Kaschuluk and her husband Michael, David Tripoli, and James Tripoli and his wife Nancy; three grandchildren, Katherine Tripoli, Eric Tripoli and his wife Jennifer Marcos, and Ellen Kaschuluk; sister, Dora Mezzapello; a special sister-in-law, Esther DaRos; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by ten siblings, James, Mary, Rose, Emil, Bart, Joe, Willie, Freida, Frank, and Gerry. His funeral will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
