Sandra L. VanAlstyne's Obituary
Sandra L. VanAlstyne, 78, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. She was born in Rutland, VT, daughter of the late Clarence and Irene (Lique) Vassau. Sandra retired from Crestfield-Fenwood Manor as a housekeeper. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred VanAlstyne. She was the mother of Raymond Hessner, Michael Gagliardi, Donald, Shirley, and Alfred, Jr. VanAlstyne, and the late Wayne Hessner, Paul Hessner, Ronald VanAlstyne, and Dennis VanAlstyne. She also had five sisters, Shirley Baldwin of New York, Janice Collins and her husband Harold of Florida, Barbara Duquette and her late husband Ken of Stafford Springs, CT, Linda Vaiciulis and her late husband Jim of Stafford Springs, CT, and the late Gene Tetrault and her late husband Sylvan of Stafford Springs, CT; and also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 6-7 P.M., with a memorial service to take place at 7 P.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
