Lisa Dryman-Rice

Death date: Feb 4, 2015
Sharon L. Riding, 57, of Stafford Springs, CT, lost her battle with cancer on February 4, 2015. Sharon leaves behind two sisters, Laurel and Debra Riding of Vernon, CT; a niece, Darcey Daglio of Edinboro, PA; and a nephew, Bryan R Read Obituary

I am heartbroken to learn, too late, that Sharon was fighting cancer and passed in 2015. I knew her in 1975-76, while I was at Trinity College. She was an incredibly loyal and loving person with a zany sense of humor. I met Sharon through her mom, Sarah, after going to Sarah's mother and brother's place about renting a room from them. I still have letters that Sharon wrote to me--I treasure them--and would be happy to share them with family.
Sharon, the short, Jewish New Yorker you knew 44 years ago has tears pouring from her eyes as she writes this. I had hoped to talk to you. I will not forget you, and fondly remember crashing with you and Laurel at your parents' place when I needed to get away from my dorm.
Bless you and your caring heart, your kindness to humans and animals.
Love,
Lisa Dryman
I searched for you for so long and found you too late. Patches, oh what can I do, I swear I've always loved you ... a part of you stayed with me all of these 40 years. RIP beautiful lady.
Will always miss Sharon, she was, as I used to tell her, "a hot ticket".
Deepest sympathies to her family.

My Dear Sweet Sharon,
You were one of the nicest people I have met. All those years working with you,I have so many great memories.. Talking about our animals every single day and making me laugh during some of the most difficult times. Your smile was contagious and you always shined bright like a star and now you are a shinning angel in heaven. Please give my mom, my son and Amber a great big hug and kiss for me. Rest easy my friend. You fought a hard battle and now you are with our Lord above resting in everlasting peace. I will forever and always remember you, our laughs and memories. xoxoxoxox Love, "Triska" - Cheryl Fontanella

Rest in peace, Sharon...you fought a long battle and will be truly missed. I too will never forget your Halloween spirit...that gorilla costume was amazing and everyone loved it! I will miss our shared moments about our "animal children"...God bless you and your family.

Be at peace, Sharon. No more pain. I will always smile when I remember how you asked about Nate and Chelsy whenever I saw you at work. Your thoughtfulness and kindness meant a lot.
