Sheryl L. Burnell's Obituary
Sheryl L. Burnell, 69, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023. Sheryl was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of Lucille L. (Steele) Villano and the late Harry G. Kovalevich. She retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections after 21 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, decorating her beautiful home, and fishing trips with Mike. She also looked so forward to their yearly trip to Cape Cod, P-Town especially. Sheryl is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Michael Burnell; her mother, Lucille Villano; mother-in-law, Alice Burnell; two sisters, Diane Soderman and Judie Baker and her partner Jon Scussel; brother-in-law, Steve Burnell and his wife Melissa; several nieces and nephews; and her cats, Little Girl and Big Girl. She is predeceased by her nephew, Shawn McCluskey; and sister-in-law, Kathy Young. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M, with a funeral service to take place at 2:00 P.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc, 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
