Shirley A. Kaba's Obituary
Shirley A. (Krukoff) Kaba, 78, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Douglas Manor in Windham, CT. She was born on Guy Fawkes Day in 1945 in Stafford, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Fugedi) Krukoff. Shirley loved to garden, and worked in landscaping for the University of Connecticut until her retirement in 2001. She was a member of the Stafford Senior Center, and was a past Senior of the Year. She was called “Wooly” by her son, Dennis, and she loved to drive her “woolmobile”, a 2007 Mustang convertible. Shirley was innocent as a lamb, but stubborn as a mule. She was loved very much, and will be missed dearly. Her family would like to thank the staff at Douglas Manor for their care. Shirley is survived by her son, Dennis C. Kaba, Jr. and his fiancé Victoria Binks of Stafford Springs, CT; two brothers, John Krukoff, Jr., and Carl Krukoff and his wife Leora, both of Ashford, CT; sister, Marge Coupe of Scituate, RI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Dennis C. Kaba, Sr.; sister-in-law, Beverly Krukoff; and brother-in-law, Rodney Kaba. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the Stafford Springs Congregational Church, 3 Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
