Shirley Modr's Obituary
Shirley (Uliana) Modr, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Jack and Mary (Constantine) Uliana. Shirley graduated from Stafford High School with the award of Best Future Homemaker. After graduating, she was employed by Aetna Insurance Company as an executive secretary. She was a lifelong resident of Stafford Springs and communicant of St. Edward Church. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Alois G. Modr; sister, Diane Uliana; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Hati Modr; cousin, Terry Panciera; and nieces, Robin (Modr) Blumenthal and Heidi Modr. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lucy Julian and Flora Uliana. Calling time will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 10:30-11:00 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11:00 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
