Silvio Sfreddo's Obituary
Silvio "Chooch" Sfreddo, 81, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Evergreen Health Care Center. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Alfred and Mercedes (Tonidandel) Sfreddo. Chooch was a meat processor for 34 years at the former Home Pride Provisions in Stafford, and was proud of making the best hot dogs around. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of St. Edward Parish, Italian Benefit Society, V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford, and Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion of Stafford. Chooch is survived by two his children; Michael Sfreddo and his wife Beverly, and Marla Houle and her husband Roy; five grandchildren; Thomas, Dustin, Darren and Christopher Sfreddo, and Meriha Houle; a great grandson, Tristan Houle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his former wife, Dixie (Stebbins) Sfreddo; and three siblings, Alfred Sfreddo, Jr., Leo A. Sfreddo, and Virginia Parrow. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
