Stephanie Mihaliak's Obituary
Stephanie Christine (Yankowski) Mihaliak, 96, formerly of Willington, CT, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in the arms of her daughter. Stephanie was the loving daughter of Frank and Mary (Wiwigac) Yankowski of Manchester, CT, providing complete care for her parents during their final years. She was a devoted wife and dedicated her life to her family. She leaves behind to remember her always, a loving daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bud Palmer of Stafford Springs, CT. Also, she leaves a son, Robert and daughter-in-law, Maria; a son, Andrew W., Jr. and daughter-in-law Tina, all of Union, CT; five grandchildren; and a great granddaughter. Stephanie also leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Violet Yankowski of Manchester, CT; and many nieces and nephews. Stephanie was predeceased by her husband, Andrew W., Sr.; a sister, Bernice Mordavski of Manchester, CT; and a brother, Sylvester of Northampton, MA. Funeral services with burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately. Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, has care of the arrangements. In memory of our mother, the family asks that you assist an elderly person when the opportunity arises and always advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Alzheimer’s can take away many abilities from an individual, but cannot take away the ability to love. Our Mother never lost that ability.
