Stephen Hnath's Obituary
Stephen A. Hnath, 90, of Ashford, CT, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Adrian, PA, son of the late John and Rose (Lesnick) Hnath. Stephen was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He had worked at Warren Woolen Company and then at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft retiring as a machinist after 30 years of employment. Stephen was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Church, American Legion Post No. 200 Rocky Hill, and V.F.W. Post No. 15007. He greatly enjoyed photography, his extensive travels to Alaska, and the long cross country drive to get there. Stephen is survived by his three daughters, Cassandra White and her husband Dennis of Union, CT, Stephanie Hnath of Delaware, and Loralyn Hnath of Lebanon, CT; his former wife, Ruth Hnath; four grandchildren, Christopher Santucci and his wife Christine, Veronica DeVos and her husband Leigh, Steven Hnath, and Kevin Hnath; three great grandchildren, Anthony and Maria Santucci, and Nathan DeVos; three sisters, Rose Furness, Veronica Kominski and her husband Edward, and Beatrice Troiano and her husband Frank; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Philip the Apostle Church, Pompey Hollow Rd., Ashford, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Philip Cemetery, Ashford, CT. Calling hours are on Monday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
