Stephen J. Zigmond's Obituary
Stephen J. Zigmond, 93, of Willington, CT, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born, raised, and lived in the same house in Willington, CT, for 93 years, and was the son of the late William and Rose (Svec) Zigmond. He was a construction worker with Local #230, retiring from Standard Builders. He loved following the Hartford Whalers, Boston Red Sox, and the UConn men and women’s basketball teams. Steve is survived by his sister-in-law, Loretta Zigmond; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers. A calling hour will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT.
