Susan M. Houle's Obituary
Susan M. Houle, 78, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Newburyport, MA, daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (Bradshaw) Cahill. Susan retired as a manager from the State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicle. She was a parishioner of St. Edward Church and former Registrar of Voters for the Town of Stafford. Susan enjoyed going to the beach and traveling with her husband during her retirement. But most of all, she loved having a house full of kids and spending her days poolside at her home. A loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years of marriage, Ronald C. Houle, Sr.; three children, Ronald C. Houle II and his partner Stephanie Irving, Lynette (Houle) Arruda and her former husband Louie Arruda, and Renee (Houle) Garrahy and her husband T.J.; daughter-in-law, Karen (Vaiciulis) Houle; 13 grandchildren, Sawyer, Morgan, Brittney, Louis, Kelley, Connor, Molly, Brigid, Thomas, Michael, Rachael, Taylor, and Nathan; great grandson, Jeremy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons, Richard and Arthur Houle; two brothers, Allen and Richard Cahill; and step father, Earl Curtis. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 9:30-11:00 A.M., with a funeral service to take place at 11:00 A.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately. Special thanks to Melissa for her devoted care.
