Sylvia Bishop's Obituary
Sylvia E. Bishop, 96, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Clifford J. and Auguste M. (Rister) LaMere. Sylvia retired from the Stafford School System as a secretary. She was a member of the Stafford Senior Center. Sylvia is survived by her two sons, Donald Scussel and his wife Linda of Coventry, CT, and Jon Scussel and Judie Baker of Stafford Springs, CT; three grandchildren, Marty Scussel, Laurie Scussel-Garibichivilli, and Julie Ingenohl; five great grandchildren; and her special friend, Joseph Pragel. She was predeceased by her husband’s Aldo Scussel and Sherman Bishop. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. The family would like to thank the staff at Blair Manor for the special care they gave to Sylvia while she was there. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Blair Manor Recreation Fund, 612 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT 06082.
