Ted R. Satkowski's Obituary
Thaddeus "Ted" R. Satkowski, 92, lifelong resident of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Lorraine (Goryl) Satkowski, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Evergreen Health Care Center. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Walter and Josephine (Nedwecki) Satkowski. Ted served in the United States Army during World War II as Private First Class in the Battery A 128th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion. He worked as a salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance for many years. When he retired from Metropolitan, he served as Chief Deputy Sherriff for Tolland County, then High Sherriff for two four-year terms. He belonged to many organizations, including the Stafford Rotary Club, where he was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow, the Knights of Columbus Council #1395, Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, Stafford Lions Club, Stafford Rod and Gun Club, and was on the Board of Directors at Johnson Memorial Hospital for many years. Ted is survived by his daughter, Lynn Pariseau and her husband Steve of Westfield, MA; grandchildren, Krysta Crouse and her husband Nicholas, Phillip Satkowski, and Laura Satkowski; great grandson, Jackson; brother, Joseph Satkowski and his wife Shirley; sister, Wanda Falkowski; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Richard Satkowski; two sisters, Jenny and Laura; and three brothers, Steve, John, and Peter. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
