Theodore Pokorny's Obituary
Theodore F. Pokorny, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Rockville General Hospital. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Theodore and Mary (DaDalt) Pokorny. Ted was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, and retired as a master mechanic from Della Construction. He was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford, the Stafford Senior Center, and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #478. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria (DaDalt) Pokorny; two sons, Theodore J. Pokorny and his wife Frances, and Barry Pokorny and his wife Brenda, all of Stafford Springs, CT; four grandchildren, Frank Pokorny, Thomas Pokorny and his wife Stacy, and Amanda and Heidi Pokorny; a great grandson, Thomas David Pokorny; three sisters-in-law, Rose DaDalt, Lillian Dion, and Reggie Corsini; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Brian Pokorny. A calling hour will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
