Theresa "Faye" C. Buell's Obituary
Theresa "Faye" C. Buell, of Eastford, CT, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023. She was born in Willimantic, CT on January 3, 1930, to the late David and Lea (Lussier) Caya. After the death of her mother, she was adopted by Emile and Eva Lussier and raised in Willimantic, CT. She attended St. Mary’s School and Windham High School. Theresa worked for Hallock’s Restaurant and F.W. Woolworth’s (toy Dept) in Willimantic, CT. On April 17, 1948, she married the love of her life, Robert G. Buell and started her married life on the Buell farm. In 1953, Robert and Theresa built their house on Ashford Rd., where she lived until her passing. After her children were grown, she worked for Buell’s Greenhouses, Country Greenhouse, and most recently, The Sunshine Shop. She also had a calling to care for, as she called them, her “Old Men”. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Eastford. Theresa is survived by her children, Robert (Dorothy) of Rocky Point, NC, James (Virginia) of Willington, CT, and Faye Logee of Eastford, CT, and her half-brother, Joseph (Ray) Therrien of Orange, CT. She also leaves grandchildren, Angela Johnson, Deanna Meckley, Jason Yates, and Crystal (Gene) Matthis of North Carolina, Timothy Buell, and Jeffrey (Kathrine) Buell of New Hampshire, Keri Logee, Heather Logee, and Jessica (Jack) Ruiz of Connecticut, six great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert G. Buell Sr., brothers Roger, Maurice, and Leonard Caya, and adopted family brothers Fernand and Roland Lussier, and sisters Theresa Shirshac and Rita Hawkins. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law James Logee. A special thank you to Dr. Fattaleh and the staff at Day Kimball Hospital and Westview Health Care Center for their care and compassion. A memorial service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Living Proof Church, 38 Pompey Hollow Rd. (Rt. 44) Ashford, CT. Interment will be held privately in Eastford Grove Cemetery, Eastford, CT. Memorial donations may be made to Eastford Independent Fire Company, P.O.
