Thomas L. Heffron's Obituary
Thomas L. Heffron, 71, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. He was born in Rockville, CT, son of the late John F. Heffron and Marjorie (Behrend) Heffron-Dolinsky. Tom was a graduate of Ellsworth High School in South Windsor, CT, the University of Hartford, and Bentley College. He served as President of Raytech Industries in Stafford Springs, CT from 1974-1989, and Raytech Division of Lyman Corporation from 1989-2013. During that time, he did 20 years of product development in China. He also served as President of Gem Mineral Supplier Association of America. Tom served on the Town of Stafford Zoning Board of Appeals for several years. He loved traveling all over the world, loved to cook, was a practical joker, and could always be seen around town with his Golden Retrievers. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Linda (Gladden) Heffron; three children, Tracy Sorrentino and her partner Jason Rosa, David B. Heffron, and Sarah Nipert; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rev. David and Elaine Gladden, and Rev. Dennis and Sandra Gladden; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service with the Rev. Dennis Gladden officiating will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 1 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville, CT. Calling hours are on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
