Thomas Shea,'s Obituary
Thomas F. Shea, Jr., 72, of Vernon, CT, husband of the late Antonia (Litvinchyk) Shea, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Rockville General Hospital. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Thomas F., Sr. and Lillian (Welz) Shea. Tom retired from the U.S. Navy having served three terms during the Vietnam era as a diesel mechanic, and later worked at Bill’s Auto Parts in Tolland. A loving father and grandfather, Tom is survived by his four children, Tonnie Shea of Vernon, CT, Thomas W. Shea and his wife Lynn of Somers, CT, Tracy Shea of Vernon, CT, and Theresa Reidy and her husband John of Vernon, CT; four grandchildren, Bruce, Sarah, Melissa, and Amanda; two brothers, Barry and Bill Shea; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Richard Shea. His funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
