To John and Tommy and all who loved Veronica,
When we were 16 we were in the Drum Corps. together and traveled to different town in competition. We double dated at WHS prom.( i still have pic). I remember a sleep over she had at her mom's house. My mom wouldn't let me go, unless her parents were there. And they weren't. I told a little white lie, and I went. At 4:00a.m. we cooked spaghetti for breakfast. She came to my house when she had John and I had just had my son. Another time, my mom was in the hosp. and so was her's, and we saw each other in the parking lot. And when I lived in Norwich, I went to the roller skating rink and there she was. So we continued to meet weekly to skate. After I moved out of state, I'd get Christmas cards, "Why didn't you answer my letter? Did you break your finger? ha-ha."
After my mom died, she came over while we were cleaning out her house. No matter how long it had been, we picked up our friendship, like there was no distance between us.
Now that's a real friend!. She was so much a part of my past, i will miss her dearly.
A HEART OF GOLD STOPPED BREATHING.
TWO SHINING EYES AT REST.
GOD BROKE OUR HEARTS TO PROVE HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST.
