Veronica Racine's Obituary
Veronica Racine, 92, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Wilfred J. Racine, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in South Belchertown, MA, daughter of the late John and Mary (Nikdon) Syper. Veronica retired from Warren Woolen Company as a spinner. She was a member of St. Edward Parish and the Stafford Senior Center. Veronica is survived by her three daughters, Bettyann Webber, Pauline Houle and her husband Roger, and Sandra Racine and her husband Joseph Van Oudenhove; seven grandchildren, Bill, Barbara, Shawn, Erica, Steven, Susan, and Seth; nine great grandchildren, including newly born Gabbi whom she was just able to hold for the first time; three great, great grandchildren; two special friends, Louis and Alice Trinque; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Spencer Racine; and two brothers, Peter and Joseph Syper. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. The family would like to thank the Home and Community Hospice team for the special care given to Veronica over the past year.
