Vickie "Vic" J. Tomaro's Obituary
Vickie “Vic” J. Tomaro, age 52, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly, January 29, 2019 at her home. Vickie was born on July 26, 1966 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Joseph Tomaro and Nancy Klaus. Vickie spent approximately 1 year in California before returning to her forever home, Stafford Springs, CT, in 1987. Vickie was a lover of Nature and beyond measure, of Tigers. If ownership was possible, she would have had it accompanying her on her countless walks up and down Main Street over the many years. She also enjoyed and dabbled in arts and crafts. Vickie’s heart and soul belonged to Stafford with her many cherished friends and memories. If Vic was in room her presence was known whether it be from her laugh or explicit language. You were very lucky to be considered her friend and in need, Vickie would give you what little she did have. If she did not care for you, there was little she would do to hide it. She had an immense heart and her memory will last for all those who cared for her. Vickie is survived by her sister, Carol Tomaro and her significant other Matthew Marella, brother, Earl Tomaro, sister, Dawn and her late husband Mark Defilippis, and sister, Tia Klaus and her significant other Paul Smith. Vickie was close to her niece, Linda Bowling, and nephew, Steven Auclair. Vickie was predeceased by her mother, Nancy Klaus, and father, Joseph Tomaro, brother-in-law, Mark Defilippis, and nephew, Brandon Quinones. Please join us for a Celebration of her life, February 16, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post No. 26, 10 Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial contributions may be made in Vickie’s name to Willington Local Prevention Council, 40 Old Farms Rd., Willington, CT 06279.
