Victor J. Paciga's Obituary
Victor J. Paciga, 65, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Hartford Hospital after a courageous ten month battle with cancer. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of Ruth (Scism) Paciga and the late Joseph Paciga. Victor had retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation after 33 years of employment. His hobbies included fishing, cycling, driving his antique tractor, and photography. He loved nature and being outdoors, and traveling extensively in his retirement to Colorado and Florida, where he and his wife met many wonderful friends. He especially enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family. Victor is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marilyn (Danforth) Paciga; two children, Dorrie Lowenberg and her husband Kenny of Castle Rock, CO, and Scott Paciga and his wife Andrea of Tolland, CT; three grandchildren, Ella and Sophia Paciga, and Gavin Lowenberg; two siblings, Robert Paciga and his wife Nancy, and Gail Martucci and her husband Joseph; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 4-6 P.M. with a memorial service to take place at 6 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately. The family would like to thank Doctor Hong and nurses Annie and Kathy B. from Oncology Associates for their incredible care and support.
