Viera Mirza's Obituary
Viera K. Mirza, 92, of Lyons Rd., Staffordville, CT, beloved wife of the late Pius J. Mirza, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at her home. She was born in Tolland, CT, daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Makovicky) Kollar. Viera was a U.S. Army Nurse Corp. veteran of World War II serving as a 1st Lieutenant. She retired as a registered nurse having worked at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Rocky Hill Veterans Hospital, and Yale New Haven Hospital. Viera was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford where she served as an adjutant for over 20 years, and a member of the former Stafford Golden Age Club. Viera is survived by her son, Roger P. Mirza and his wife Karen of Colorado; two granddaughters, Trisha A. Mirza and Stephanie E. Mirza, both of Willimantic, CT; and two great grandsons, Christopher F. Mirza and Thomas J. Baribeault. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2007 from 10-11 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., P.O.
