Virginia A. Baxter, 93, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Theodore J. Baxter, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late William and Mary (Greene) Ducharme. Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and John C. Emhoff; three grandchildren, John A. Emhoff, Mark Baxter, and Joanna Baxter; seven great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne and Pat Baxter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Theodore J. Baxter, Jr.; and three siblings, Dorothy Gilman, Harold Ducharme, and William Ducharme, Jr. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Parikh, Sarah, Jocelyn, Dianne, Bonnie, Shelley, Stephanie, JoAnne, Dawn, Jean Marie, Adam, Rick, and all the CAN’s and nurses at Evergreen Health Care Center for their care and support during her time there. Funeral services with burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to St. Edward Church, 27 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
