Virginia Clark's Obituary
Virginia P. Clark, 92, of Orcuttville Rd., Stafford Springs, CT passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born November 2, 1917 in Lisbon Falls, ME to Albert W. and Jeannette (Kearney) Prosser. She graduated from Lisbon Falls High, but her junior and sophomore years were spent at Long Beach Poly Tech, in California. She attended a year at Nasson College in Maine. Virginia was previously employed by B. Schwanda & Sons Button Shop, in West Stafford and was a cook at West Stafford School. After 20 years service she retired from Mansfield Training School. Her summers were spent at The Willimantic Campground in South Windham. She traveled extensively and was an avid reader. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star of Merrow, Welcome Rebekah Lodge of East Hartford, and the Stafford Springs Congregational Church. Virginia is survived by her children Sharon Malloy of Newington, Keenan Clark and wife Leslie of Stafford Springs; grandchildren Margo Denning and husband Gregory of New Jersey; Francis Malloy and wife Elke of Virginia; great-grandchildren Connor and Abigail Denning, Virginia and Alex Price, and Erin Malloy; and a niece Helen Dow of Maine. She was predeceased by sons; baby Evan and Carroll 'Sonny' Clark; brothers Norman and Albert L. Prosser and his wife Marion (Williams); sisters Eleanor Dow and Hope Scotta. Beside her family she was fortunate to have the services of Cindy Walach and Connie Ravetto. She also leaves her good and close friend Lisa Everett, as well as her companion Nippy the cat. Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 2 P.M at Stafford Springs Cemetery, Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT officiated over by Rev. Patrick Seymour.
