Virginia Knapp's Obituary
Virginia S. Knapp, 90, formerly of Horseheads, NY, wife of the late Jason Knapp, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Valois, NY, daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Chrysler) Smith. Virginia spent most of her life in Horseheads, where she retired as a secretary from A & P Foods, and was a member and active volunteer of St. Matthew Church, where she was a member of a luncheon group called the 39ers. After recently moving to Stafford Springs, she spent time making friends at the Stafford Senior Center. She also enjoyed watching theatrical plays and traveling. Virginia is survived by her two children, Linda Henley and her husband Russ Andrews of Syracuse, NY, and Mark Henley and his wife Cindy of Stafford Springs, CT; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by 11 siblings. Funeral services with burial in Valois Cemetery, Valois, NY, will be held privately.
