Wayne A. Scussel's Obituary
Wayne Alexander Scussel, 81, of Manchester, CT passed away on December 7, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital. Wayne was born on June 15, 1944 in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Alexander and Irma (Spallacci) Scussel. Anyone who knew Wayne would tell you he could drive you crazy, but also, they would tell you he was a simple, minded loving soul who you couldn’t help but love. Wayne was a star athlete at Stafford High School and was a sports fan who loved the Bost Red Sox and New England Patriots. He loved his friends he made over the years, and above all, his sister Lynn. We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at St. Francis Hospital for their extraordinary care. Also, we would like to thank the entire staff at Touchpoints at Manchester for their compassionate and loving care during his 20 years spent there, especially his nurse Rhoda, who was really special to him and his family. Wayne leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Michael Petroski of Enfield, CT. Funeral services with burial in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT, will be held privately.
