William A. Daigle's Obituary
William A. Daigle, 91, of Morganton, GA, formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Gloria (Spallacci) Daigle, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Alfred and Margaret (Theising) Daigle. Bill served in the United States Navy during World War II, and retired as a supervisor from the Warren Woolen Company. He was a member of St. Edward parish, the V.F.W. Post in Willington, Stafford Senior Center, life member of the Italian Benefit Society, member of the Stafford Springs Fire Department for over 20 years, acting as Fire Chief for 5 years, and member of the U.S. Navy Tin Can Sailors Association. Bill is survived by his two children, Donald Daigle and his wife Sherrie and Donna Parent and her husband Clifford; three granddaughters and two great granddaughters, Michelle Flickinger and her husband Brian and their two daughters, Ellie and Reagan, Christa Parent and her fiancé, Joseph Simone, and Allison Parent and her fiancé, Charles Balletti; brother, Don Daigle; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services with burial in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately.
