William Ostrowski's Obituary
William F. Ostrowski, 58, of Crystal Lake Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2007. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of Esther (Fiamengo) Ostrowski Fontanella and the late William A. Ostrowski. Bill attended LaSallet Seminary and was a graduate of Stafford High School and Emerson College. He worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Tolland. Bill was a member of St. Edward Parish, the Italian Benefit Society, Stafford Fish and Game Club, Trout Unlimited, and the Rural Letter Carriers Association. He had a great sense of humor and loved to entertain. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fly fisherman. A loving husband, father, son, and brother, Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Lisa (Robinson) Ostrowski; two daughters who were the joys of his life, Mettie and Isabella Ostrowski; his mother, Esther Ostrowski Fontanella, all of Stafford Springs, CT; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cindy Ostrowski of Bozeman, MT; three step sisters and their husbands, Faye and Doug Scussell of Stafford Springs, CT, Valerie and Dick Wesner of Michigan, and Laurie and Dave Pouliot of Virginia; his mother-in-law, Barbara Robinson of Stafford Springs, CT; and his dog Penny. Bill was a kind and compassionate gentleman who will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. A funeral will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2007, with a procession forming at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in West Stafford Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
