William Pippin's Obituary
William H. Pippin, 79, of Furnace Ave., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Wilford and Emma (Dolt) Pippin. Bill was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran, and retired as a self-employed plumber/electrician. Bill was a member and past Commander of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion and past Junior-Vice Commander of the Fourth District. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, a volunteer at Johnson Memorial Hospital, and enjoyed playing music and woodworking. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara K. Pippin of Stafford Springs, CT; a daughter, Paula M. Miller and her husband Joshua of Beverly, MA; a granddaughter, Eliana; two brothers, Charles and Francis; three sisters, Jane, Joan, and Jean; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Laviolette. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007 from 5-7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a funeral home service at 7 P.M. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be private.
