William Symonds,'s Obituary
William M. Symonds, Jr., 93, formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved husband of the late Helen (Ducharme) Symonds, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late William M., Sr. and Sarah (Brealey) Symonds. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and retired from the Connecticut Labor Department as a Field Representative. He was a lifetime member of the Connecticut Society of Governmental Accountants, and the Connecticut State Employees Association. Bill is survived by his two sons, William W. Symonds, Sr. and his wife Carol of Enfield, CT, and Michael J. Symonds and his wife Barbara Harkins of Carlisle, MA; three grandchildren, Bonnie Miller and her husband Michael, William W. Symonds, Jr., and Ryan E. Symonds; two great grandchildren, Chad and Jacob Miller; brother-in-law, Lester Gauvain; sister-in-law, Thelma Christofferson; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Stanley Symonds; and a sister, Barbara Gauvain. His funeral will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Church Service at 11 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, corner of Main St. and Church St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
