Albert DeNunzio's Obituary
Albert A. DeNunzio, 86, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 15, 2011. He was born in East Hartford, CT, son of the late Anthony and Nancy (Mancinelli) DeNunzio. Al was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy, and retired from Wolverine Worldwide as a salesman. He was a member of St. Edward Parish, charter member of the Stafford Lions Club, member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, the Stafford Republican Town Committee, and the Town of Stafford Finance Board. Al is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley (Butler) DeNunzio; four children, Zenna Brisson and her husband Wally, Donna Possardt and her companion Jerry Joyal, and Anthony DeNunzio, all of Stafford Springs, CT, and Denise Hicking and her husband David of Willington, CT; 10 grandchildren, Bill, Tony, Joel, Nicholas, Jennifer, Angela, Billy, Michelle, Lauren, Aaron; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Danny DeNunzio; a sister, Nancy Beaudette; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers; and three sisters. His funeral will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 2-5 P.M. at the funeral home.
