Bernard A. Chaplin's Obituary
Bernard A. “Bernie” Chaplin, 81, of North Windham, Connecticut, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026.
He was born in Moretown, Vermont, and spent much of his childhood in Willington, Connecticut. He was the son of the late Bernie Chaplin and Bertha (Bradley) Small.
Bernie is survived by his loving family: his son, Chris Chaplin, and his wife, Shawna, along with their children, Sawyer and Zoey; and his daughter, Melissa Jackopsic, and her husband, Jon, along with their children, Davis and Cooper. He also leaves behind his sisters, Estella Chessey and her husband, Chess, and Dorothy Landry and her husband, Skip, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bernie dedicated 49 years of his career to Pratt & Whitney. Outside of work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He took great pride in his yard. He was a passionate fan of UConn Huskies basketball and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed playing cribbage and especially looked forward to his weekly visits to Foxwoods Resort Casino, where he spent many happy hours.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
