Bill Reyes' Obituary
Our beloved Billy, a pure Child of God, entered into his eternal rest at Hartford Hospital on Sunday September 10 with his guardian Marcia at his side. A special thanks to the medical Unit of the 9th Floor Step down and the Hospice team who were truly Bill's Angels of mercy in his last hours. Bill's mission in life was a suffering servant of Christ and through all of his chronic illness and multiple hospitalizations he continued to make a "Joyful noise unto the Lord" by playing his hand held instruments and praising God while singing. The legacy that Bill leaves to all is to " Praise God in all things" no matter what one is going through. During his last weeks he loved to spend time watching the Holy Mass on television and Marcia is very grateful for the staff at West Road for helping to accommodate his favorite activity. He also like to quietly sit outdoors with Marcia and listen to her recitation of the rosary. In his heart Bill knew that our Blessed Mother was truly his heavenly Mother and that she was watching over him. We are very thankful to New Seasons staff for being so dedicated to Bill and truly making his house a warm and loving home for him for many years. Thanks also to all at DDS who coordinated his plans of care and always sought the best for Bill. Also we are so appreciative to all the Priests, Chaplains, and medical personnel who consistently supported Billy and whose goal it was to help Bill in all ways possible. Bill is predeceased by his mother Ruth Shultz of Stafford Springs, his sister Dorothy of Stafford Springs, and his brother Daniel of East Hartford. He is survived by his father Enrique Reyes of Hartford, his brother John Shultz of New Britain, his brother Timothy Rivera of Manchester, his brother Edward Rivera of Parrish, Florida, his sister Jessica Rivera of New Britain, his sister Jenny Reyes of Chesire, his brother Enrique Reyes of Port Chester, NY and his guardians who loved loved and cared for him dearly Marcia and Micheal Leclerc of Somers. Marcia and Micheal would like to sincerely thank all who were kind to Bill during his life and for those who visited Bill during his last difficult days especially Cioci Andrea and Cioci Debbie, any family members and the West Road staff. God Bless you Billy! You will surely be missed. We love you very much and thank you for all you did for us as you were truly and apostle of Christ.
