The heart of our friendship was candor, so I’ll say this as I would if you were sitting right here:
WHAT THE HELL dude. We still had sh*t to do.
You know I was, am, and will always be proud of you. You lived larger and better than people with none of your challenges. You were bigger than everything life threw at you. You were funny, fierce, and threw your heart into absolutely everything. I am going to miss you so damn much. You may think you have gotten out of reading my book but I’m just going to read it out loud to you so there.
Thank you for everything we shared on this journey. Thank you for the literally thousands of talks and theories of the nature of life, relationships, the universe and other inscrutable topics. You know parts of me that probably no one else will ever know. There’s no one like you, CKD. Not even remotely.
“You’re a fish!” ;)
I love you. I’ll talk to you later.
