Carissa K. Decelles' Obituary
Carissa K. Decelles, 34, of Willimantic, CT, Sunrise – March 19, 1991, Sunset – December 18, 2025, due to a tragic accident, while living her life to the fullest. She was born in Rockville, CT.
An award winning creative graphic designer and brander; Founder and Creative Director of Wheelhaus; President of the Creative Art Directors Club; and so much more. She refined her design and branding skills working for Miranda Creative. Throughout her short life, she was able to achieve and accomplish so many things and touched so many people while never letting her degenerative disease and physical limits hold her back. At an early age she served consecutive terms as Muscular Dystrophy Association Connecticut Goodwill Ambassador (2002-2003). She loved being a part of MDA by supporting local firefighter Fill the Boot Campaigns and MDA events and yearly Labor Day Telethon. During her formative years she developed her skills in Art and the visual. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from the University of Connecticut.
Carissa is survived by her parents, Johnna and James Janiak of Tolland, CT; sister, Brianna Glidden and her husband Gary; nieces, Ann Marie and Gianna; maternal grandparents, John and Marie Kupchunos; her beloved service dog, Ren; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her service dogs Murphy and Charlie.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with a time to celebrate and memorialize her life at 12:00 PM, at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
