Carol Sheldon Schaffer
Sending my deepest sympathy to Carol's family. I will never forget the magical childhood I shared with Carol in South Glastonbury as friends at High Street School. Even though we grew apart in high school years and lost touch after graduation, it gives me such comfort to read in these posts that she never changed. Everyone has the same types of memories of her. I too had a treasured hand made memento from Carol; a birthday present from our elementary school years It was a large green felt frog prince, complete with golden crown and red velvet cape! My children and grandchildren enjoyed it for many years, until it met a sad end with a family dog. I was thrilled to reconnect with Carol 3 years ago, when she joined the planning committee for our 40 year high school reunion. She made a lasting impression on everyone who attended with her beautiful decorations for the event. (Which she planned and executed nearly single handedly, to the everlasting gratitude of the rest of the committee!) I was so sorry to learn of her health problems, I was looking forward to the next reunion and seeing her again.
