Chuck was a thoughtful listener and a kind, humble man with a great sense of humor. His relaxed personality made you automatically feel at ease. He was a mentor and a model to many people, including our son, Jon. Since Charles and Jon were best buddies for centuries, they played baseball, soccer and football, together. By watching Chuck co-coach their baseball and soccer teams, it was evident that Chuck was having as much fun as the boys. Chuck was an excellent coach because he had respect, acceptance and patience for all his players.
I believe that Chuck operated out of a God- given gift called ...helping. Whenever a need arose, Chuck and Laurie were both ready for action ! Through-out the years we witnessed them supporting the athletes by:
purchasing supplies, buying water, gatorade, and ice, making treats, transporting kids' home, flipping dogs and burgers, fundraising, hosting; pasta parties, or end of the season resort celebrations, just to name a few !
Jon spend countless hours at the Hoffman homestead and shared many amazing adventures with the whole family. Chuck and Laurie embraced and treated him like part of their family. Because of this, we are forever grateful.
Thank you Chuck, for being.....YOU !
Love ,
Tom and Linda Cooper
