It was several years ago that the Lord put an angel named Craig Robinson into my life and my wife Sandy's. I was an embattled federal employee at the time and was referred to Craig by the local union president, based on Craig's stellar reputation. With my filing of several EEO discrimination complaints and an MSPB complaint, Craig signed on as my attorney to help me, in his words, "fight the good fight." Craig gave me the gift of hope from which grew courage to continue. Over a 9 1/2 year period, this remarkable attorney and human being was by my side at time of battle, representing me brilliantly before Administrative Law Judges in numerous hearings. Craig was a blessing because he had sincere compassion for me; he cared; and he wanted victory to right the wrongs and make me whole again. It wasn't about finances as a driving force - not with Craig. As he pointed out, most of his clients came to him already unemployed. For Craig was the best of all worlds - an exceptionally gifted attorney with honesty and high ethical standards, who cared deeply at the same time for his clients. There will never be one better... Attorney Craig Robinson was the very best of the best. Behind the closed doors of hearing rooms, I sat awestruck through each of Craig's magnificent performances of his legal duties. With calm and controlled demeanor; clear focus; an uncanny ability to recall past layers of details; a mastery of federal sector EEOC/MSPB law; and a special rapport with judges who respected and admired him; Craig was the force to be reckoned with by the opposition. During his cross-examinations, Craig overwhelmingly dismantled the opposition hearing after hearing, exposing the truth. Craig had a gift - this force or power that transcended the hearing room and affected all present. It is my belief that the gift came from God and that Craig Robinson was born to do this work, as a warrior of the light, to help the mistreated and downtrodden. Craig first brought me to victory with my EEO cases - a 48-page decision by the Judge issued in our favor. Craig then brought me to victory in my MSPB case. Craig was a man of honor and integrity, and held me to those standards, especially when I testified. He treated everyone, including the opposition, with dignity and respect. Craig was much more than an attorney because he was also a healer of broken spirits and hearts. In his time, Craig was a phenomenon, and a man who helped the oppressed behind the scenes without fanfare. Craig fought for victory and sincerely shared in the emotional joys and triumphs of those he helped. Craig stood for truth and for justice. Craig used his gift to right wrongs and help the wronged. Craig righted the injustices against me and cleared my name. He worked for and achieved victory to make me whole again. This man restored my broken hopes and dreams and gave it all back to me with dignity. How could I ever repay such an incredible person for such a special gift? My wife Sandy and I are forever indebted to our champion, our hero, our angel. Craig blessed our lives, and to this day the blessings continue. Craig fought for us and helped us win the good fight. To Craig's Mother: Job well done in raising such a remarkable person as your son Craig. Craig chose to use his God-given talents to help his fellow human beings. How pleased God must be with your son, who showed so clearly through his efforts, how just one person can make a difference on this earth through profoundly and positively touching and healing so many lives. You have such cause to be proud of your beloved son. My wife Sandy and I extend our deepest and most sincere sympathy and condolences to Craig's family, friends, and co-workers. We will remember Craig and all of you in our thoughts and prayers. The world has lost a shining champion for those in need. It will always be our distinct honor and privilege to have known Craig. We will never forget him. May God Bless You, Craig, and comfort your family, friends, and co-workers. Steve Johnson
