David A. Perreira's Obituary
My beloved husband of 45 years, David A. Perreira, 75, of Stafford Springs, CT, has passed from this world to the next. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Manual and Theresa (Palaia) Perreira. Dave was a State of Connecticut Department of Transportation employee for 39 years and 10 months. He began his career as a draftsman before becoming a transportation engineer 3. He loved his home, always hosting friends and family, his vegetable gardens, motorcycles, all his pets, and yes…lucky me. I was once told that this world is made up of givers and takers. Dave was a giver; a very good and generous man. He was a wonderful son throughout their lives, a good brother, uncle, cousin, and in-law to have. A great and loyal friend to all who knew him. He had a way of making people feel important. I simply could not have gone through all these years with a better person. Of course he wasn’t perfect! He had a quick wit with just a touch of sarcasm. Dave is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Daigle) Perreira; two brothers, Micheal Perreira and his wife Sylvia, and Peter Perreira and his wife Suzanne; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Please join us to share some stories, smiles, and laughs during a visiting hour on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, with a prayer service to take place at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to PawSafe Animal Rescue, 110 Sandy Beach Rd., Ellington, CT 06029.
