It was an honor and privilege to have Dot in our family of friends. We love her dearly and shall cherish her memory. She was one fine lady who loved her family, friends and church. God Bless you, Dot!
It was a pleasure meeting Dot in the later years of her life. My wife Dorothy took care of her through a home-health care service. Dot shared so many memories of her earlier years and how she once drove a one-seated red car! I remember visiting Dot at her house and bringing her a fish and chip dinner, she almost finished her whole meal!Dot took a liking to my 4 year old daughter 'Yvonne' and loved to hug her, as she would visit Dot at Evergreen. We will all cherish the memories of Dot and continue to pray for her. May peace fill your life with comfort and God bless you.
"Come and bring me some books" Dot would say..."make it Johanson or Parker or even Cornwall, and I wouldn't mind at all if you brought some of your chicken wings or cookies and stayed for a bit", and a bit would turn into an hour as she would say "SIT DOWN" and Dot would reminisce about Dr. Melvin or Dr Hastings & Dr. Detora and all of the children she delivered at Johnson Memorial Hospital. "You know", she said "I even helped deliver you". I will miss my friend Dot who loved a good read, and a chat and to share a recipe or two.. We enjoyed many trips on the senior bus, shopping, visiting & dining. After Dot stopped driving, I sometimes think she would come on the trips so she could drive the motorized carts--and we often found her zipping down an aisle or knocking over a display or two, as she drove with wild abandon. God speed my friend. I will miss you always & remember you forever. xox
