Even though I was acquainted with him, as was everyone in town, as a young Rotarian I was blessed to get to know Bob better when he came as a "special guest" to meetings in his retirement. He was certainly a fine example to follow as a true Rotarian!
I will forever remember the skip in his step, the smile on his face and the recycled drink carrier in his hand as he walked from the shop to Dunkin' Donuts for coffee as I went to work at Tolland Bank.

To the family of Bob, I had known your Dad and Mom since I was so young, and in the more recent years, whenever I saw him, especially at mass at St. Edward, he would always have a smile and a hug or handshake, such a great man. He reminded me of my Dad. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you, such wonderful memories you have after all those years.

growing up on Cooper Lane , It was like one big family. Bob, and Charlotte, Rudy and Lottie, Fran and Alba, such special people! But after the wonderful childhood I had there, One of my special memories was when we put 2 of my young cows across the street from Bob at my parents house. It was so special to see how much Bob enjoyed the girls. He spoiled them with apples and all kinds of garden treats, and truly loved every day they where there, they where his friends ! I'll miss you Bob!
To the Cercena family and extended family, you are all in our prayers. He was a great ,sweet man! He will be missed by many and he was loved by all.
