Eddie was one of the hardest working people in existence. He worked long and diligently at his full-time job at UConn. And he still had enough energy to transplant thousands of mums in an afternoon in his part-time job. His love of flowers and plants was evident in everything he did. He shared the same work ethic as my stepfather, Carl, a farmer, and the two men shared mutual respect and admiration for the other.
I'll always remember Eddie's smile and laugh. He loved a good joke, and he was crazy about the Red Sox. We watched many games with him, and no one was happier than he was when they finally starting winning the World Series.
And I got to share my love for golf with Eddie, which really blossomed for him long after he and stopped playing together. I have terrific memories of playing rounds with Eddie and my son, Lee.
I know Eddie loved his family dearly, and was so proud of his Polish heritage. My condolences go out to the entire Kominski family. Larry Valencia
