Edwin W. LaBonte's Obituary
Edwin W. LaBonte, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was born in Fall River, MA, son of the late George and Mary (Stringer) LaBonte. Ed served our country in the United States Navy, and retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft as a tool and die maker. He had many hobbies and interests: hunting, fishing, archery, woodworking, sky diving (once), photography, motocross, traveling, going on cruises, and boating. Above all, he loved his family and the time he was able to spend with them. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rita (Fortin) LaBonte; four children, Steven LaBonte and his partner Darlene Yedziniak, Sharon Stanley, Lisa Jacobsen and her husband Craig, Jr., Toby Weskosky and his wife Jessica; eight grandchildren, Rachael, Gillian, Tyler, Amanda, Steven, Christopher, Kamryn, and Sydney; two great grandchildren, Lexi and Edwin; and brother, George LaBonte and his wife Doranna. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold LaBonte. Funeral services with burial in St. Catherine Cemetery, Broad Brook, CT, will be held privately.
