Evelyn Carter's Obituary
Evelyn (Lajeunesse) Carter, 68, of Coventry, CT, beloved wife of Michael A. Carter, Sr., slipped peacefully into eternal rest at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 11, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Hartford, CT on January 9, 1945, daughter of the late Romeo and Anita (Beaulieu) Lajeunesse. She had lived in Hartford, CT for 25 years before moving to Manchester, CT. She and her family resided in Manchester, CT for 25 years then moved to Coventry, CT in 1987. Besides her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, she leaves her son, Michael A. Carter, Jr. and his wife Danielle of Garner, NC; her daughter, Michelle (Carter) Guzas and her husband Robert P., Jr. of Hudson, NH; the sunshines of her life, her three grandchildren, Ainsley and Joshua Carter, and Angelique Guzas; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Irene Lajeunesse of Vernon, CT; her cousins, Ronald, Rita, and Philip Painchaud of Cheshire, CT; as well as her very dear friends, Ann and Mike Davis, and Michael, Karen, Michael, and Nicole Green. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and Godsons. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
