I had the great pleasure of first meeting Mr. Benison while working at John Henrys Restaurant in Stafford Springs. I would serve Mr. Benison and his party often, and always enjoyed doing so. Mr. Benison was a wonderfully funny man who always had a quick joke or funny observation every time I returned to his table with his favorite spirit. When I informed Mr. Benison one night that I had been looking to attend his alma mater, Providence College, he proceeded to talk to me about the school until closing time. Two years later, it is because of Mr. Benison’s kind words and influence that I now call Providence College home. I currently give tours at PC because of the love that I have for my school. It is this love for Providence College that Mr. Benison and I will forever share a special bond. I thank from the bottom of my heart the kindness and generosity that Mr. Benison has shown to my family. May God Bless Mr. Francis C. Benison and his family.
