Francis "Zip" Barsaleau's Obituary
Francis J. “Zip” Barsaleau, 81, of High St., Stafford Spring, CT, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Edward and Cora (Lemire) Barsaleau. Zip retired from the Connecticut State Police as a Sergeant after 20 years of employment. He also served as a police officer for five years under the Stafford Springs Police Department. He was a member of St. Edward Parish, and Rev. Felix J. O’Neil Council #1395 Knights of Columbus. Zip is survived by his wife of 60 years, Glenna (Campo) Barsaleau; his two children, Susan Michalec of Stafford Springs, CT, and Gary Barsaleau of West Dennis, MA; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Todd; a great grandson, Cameron; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Eugene and Clifford. His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
