Frank Niessen's Obituary
Frank Harlin Niessen, 102, formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY, and beloved husband of the late Carlostina (Helm) Niessen, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. He was born in New York City, NY, son of the late Richard, Sr. and Christine (Harlin) Niessen. Frank retired as an expert machinist from Schatz Federal Bearing Company, where he was also the organizer and leader of his union. He also liked cars and working on them, and enjoyed building and doing projects around the house. Frank is survived by his two sons, Frank R. Niessen and his wife Patricia of Stafford Springs, CT, and John F. Niessen of Portland, OR; two grandchildren, Frank W. Niessen and his wife Kristen of Bristol, CT, and Kimberly Pusateri of Charleston, SC; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his four siblings, Richard Niessen, Jr., Anna Dean, Harold Niessen, and Katherine Pyers. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 10 A.M. at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
