Geraldine Cavar's Obituary
Geraldine M. Cavar, 69, of Willington, CT, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Fox Hill Nursing Home, Vernon, CT. She was born in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Haddad) Allen. Gerri was employed as a health care worker for the State of Connecticut for many years. She enjoyed going to the beach and bird watching. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Gerri is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Thomas R. Cavar; three children, Gernan Johnson of Vernon, CT, Kathleen Hood and her husband Eric of Coventry, CT, and Thomas Cavar and his wife Michelle of Willimantic, CT; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Timothy, Andrew, David, Natasha, Tyler, Seth, and Abigael; three sisters, Patricia Mihancki and her husband Robert of Somers, CT, Phyllis Delorme and her husband Raymond of Wisconsin, and Marion Liggett of New London, CT; several nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Bruno and Shena. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
