Glyn R. Holmes' Obituary
Glyn R. Holmes, 90, of Stafford Springs, CT and formerly of Wilton, CT passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at UConn John Dempsey Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born in London, England, daughter of the late James and Louisa Reeves.
Glyn immigrated to the US in 1957 with her husband, Brian Holmes. They lived in Madison Heights, MI and Vestal, NY before settling in Wilton, CT. Glyn worked as a secretary and was a homemaker. In her younger years, she loved to play tennis at Four Seasons Tennis club, and later played bridge at the Norwalk Bridge Studio. She was an avid dog lover and spoiled all her 4-legged friends. She moved to Stafford Springs, CT in 2018 to be closer to her daughter and grandson.
Glyn is survived by her daughter, Leigh Mottes and her husband Timothy; her granddaughter, Ashley Clark and her husband Jamison; her great grandson, Owen; her brother, Bernard Reeves; her sister, Jenna Boulton; her nieces and nephews; and her grand-daughter in law, Jennifer Simpson. She was predeceased by her husband, Brian E. Holmes; and her grandson, Tyler Linsly Simpson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M., with a memorial service beginning at 11:30 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be private.
