Helen Hancock's Obituary
Helen I. Hancock, 96, of Willington Ave., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Robert Hancock, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2008 at her home. She was born in Stafford, CT, daughter of the late Warner H. and Maud (Bolieau) Boardman. Helen was a very caring domestic worker for many years, making friends with all those she took care of. She had a love of ancestry in her life tracing her family tree back to the pilgrims. Helen was a member of the Second Congregational Church of Stafford at West Stafford, and was an avid charter member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution, which was one of the highlights in her life. Helen is survived by her loving and devoted son, John W. Hancock of Stafford Springs, CT; a special nephew, Miles Philips of New Hampshire; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Alpha Brown. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Church Service at 10 A.M. at the Second Congregational Church of Stafford at West Stafford, West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
